Jo Griffiths

Hi my name is Jo Griffiths and I am currently studying Graphic Design at Loughborough University.

I'm 21 and live in sunny Guernsey in the Channel Islands.  I’m the captain of the amazing Loughborough Goldrush and have been for two years. I love cheering, skiing, surfing and diving and of course drinking! this is my third year as a Bulldogs Cheerleader and I can't wait every year gets better. Looking forward to cheering in the sun!

Ellen Marie Croke

Hey I’m Ellen but my friends call me Elle. Ill be 21 in June this year and graduating from UWA Aberystwyth. I have been cheerleading for the Tarannau American football team three years and captain of the Tarannau/Thunderbird cheeries for two years, it was a hobby I came across and completely love. I am going to miss the squad so much when I leave but I hope to take on a new squad after university. We have competed twice and won both, so yay!  I got on the GB squad when I won BCAFL cheerleader of the year and was over the moon it is the most amazing thing and I cannot wait. I have already met some great friends through the sport and now I get to meet even more.

I love to socialise have a giggle and dance as well as reading and of course cheering. I look forward to cheering for Great Britain this year.

Danielle Lenzie

Hey Everyone!  I started cheerleading at the age of 14 for Aston Villa
cheerleading squad.  Although we didn’t do any stunting it definitely gave me
the cheerleading bug and so when I arrived at Plymouth University I joined the
Plymouth Blaze (our uni squad) straight away.  It was definitely a good choice
as I have had so much fun since joining!!  I was also lucky enough to be captain
of the squad for two years and have been coaching for the past year and a half.
I’m very excited about being accepted onto the Bulldogs and meeting the rest of
the team! We are going to have so much fun!!! Bring on the summer!

Hannah Wright

Hiya! Ok so I’m Hannah, I’m in my final year of a Psychology degree at Reading Uni, and I have been a cheerleader for the Bunnies, supporting the Reading Knights for the past 3 years.  During my time in the Bunnies I have been the match choreographer and, up until Easter, the Vice President..  Last summer I also cheered for the Coventry Jets Senior League American Football team (who might I just say are completely AWESOME!) Cheerleading is something I have wanted to do since I was little and was so excited when I found out that Reading had a cheer squad.   I have enjoyed my time in the Bunnies so much, the girls have been so awesome and joining the cheer squad was definitely the best decision I have made at uni.  I am so excited about joining the Bulldogs and cheering with a whole new group of people this summer!  I’m also quite happy about the trip to LA – fully intend to find Adam Brody! Anyone with me on that one?

Katie Angeloni

Age : 19

Place of birth : Eastbourne

University and squad : Southampton vixens

Course : Chemistry with medicinal sciences

Hi, I'm Katie and this is my first year at Southampton uni and as a vixen cheerleader. After seeing the cheerleaders at the freshers fayre I went along to the meeting just to see what it was like and now I think I go to university to cheer rather than to study! I love every minute of it!! I compete with the Vixens elite squad and cheer for the Stags American Football Team. The vixens competed in their first competition of the season last week - it was amazing. I love cheering for the Stags, come rain or shine it is always loads of fun! They're such a nice bunch of guys and the vixens are amazing fun as well. I'm so excited about the summer, I don’t know what I would have done with myself not cheering for 3 months - I can't wait to cheer in America  It’s going to be great getting to know all the other cheeries and footballers and watching some amazing football. I can't wait to start training and have lots of fun as well. Yay! :) xxx

Sarah Kenealy

I'm Sarah Kenealy from the Southampton Vixens!  I am 22 and this is my second year as a Bulldog. I am the Vixens captain and compete with their elite squad and all girl stunt group.  I have been cheering with the Vixens for 3 years and this year we cheered our Stags all the way to College Bowl victory which I am very proud of!  I am in my first year of a post graduate nursing degree after finishing my Biomedical Science degree last year and I am also the BCAFL Southern Rep so most of you in the South I have probably met at some point!  Last years Bulldogs experience made me friends that will last a lifetime so I can't wait to see what this year has in store!  Let’s go to LA girls!!!!

Rosie Wall

Age: 20

Place of Birth:
Bristol, but I am now full on Northern I'm afraid!

University and Squad: Reading Bunnies

Course: Psychology BSc

*Begins with some kind of cheer face...*

I have been cheerleading with the Bunnies for two years, and it has brought the most amazing experiences and people into my life! Being able to be part of the University Intermediate Champion squad last year, and now the University Co-Ed Advanced Champions, is something that makes me so proud, and so unbelievably happy! Being able to cheer on the Bulldogs on behalf of
Great Britain is just quite literally amazing!!

I have loved every moment of my cheer 'career', and I don't plan to stop doing that when in
L.A.!! Let’s get started girls, I'm so excited!! Surf lessons at Newport Beach anybody?!

Lauren Fitzgerald

I'm Lauren from the Reading Bunnies. I am 20 and this is my second year as a Bulldog. I am one of the choreographers for the Bunnies where I have been cheering for two years. Since November I have been involved in setting up a new Reading based squad the DS Mustangs who will be entering their first competition very shortly. I am a second year English Literature student at Reading Uni, which is all fun and games, and home to me is Hertfordshire. I am so excited about the tour this summer, last year was amazing and I know the extra bonus of the LA sun will just be the icing on the cake.

Lianne Shaw

Age: 20

Place of Birth: Sunny Brighton

University and Squad: University of Hertfordshire Sirens

Course: BA Accounting with Spanish

Hello there! I'm Lianne, but I'm more commonly known in cheerleading community as Pat! I'm in my second year studying for a degree in Accounting with Spanish at
University of Hertfordshire, which, so far seems to have gone well. I've been part of the Sirens for 2 years now, ever since I came to uni and have supported the Hurricanes at every game as well as competing with the girls and being the squad President for 2005/2006! I got into cheerleading as it looked like it could be quite fun, and it turns out I was right! Not sure how I'm going to be able to cope without cheerleading next year when I go to study in Madrid for my placement year....! In my spare time (which is rare!) I like to partake in some good ol' "Fontage" as we say around these parts and go to the beach during the summer (Obviously when I'm at home as Hatfield doesn't even have a beach!). This is my second year as part of Bulldogs, and I hope we have as much fun in sunny LA as we did last year in Coventry!
