Hi Im Ellie, and i am just coming to the end of my second year of my psychology degree. originally from watford I now study at Loughborough university where i am a member of the Acettes. This year with my fellow Acettes i had great fun (in some shocking weather conditions) cheering the boys all the way to the College Bowl final. I have been cheering for two years now after i joined Loughborough Goldrush as a Fresher and have loved it. I also took part with Allstars last year, and made the squad for Bulldogs then as well. Really looking forward to being part of the squad this year!!!!

Name: Michaela Caldecott

Age: 19

University and squad: Reading, RUC

Course: BSc Psychology

Year of study: 1st year

Hi, I’m Michaela and I’m from Billericay in Essex. I started cheerleading in October last year when I decided that it was the nearest thing to a dance club at the freshers fayre. I am so pleased I joined RUC because I’ve had so much fun on both the co-ed cheer squad and the elite dance squad. Preparation for matches and competitions has been hard work mixed with lots of banter and our socials have been amazing. My best moment so far is coming 1st in cheer and dance at BCA Uni comp in April, we were so proud!

I would love to gain more experience in cheering, jumping and stunting and I feel Bulldogs will give me the opportunity to do this. I’m really excited about being able to cheer for Bulldogs and can’t wait to start training

Name: Annie Lawson

Age:

University: College of Law (previosuly Anglia Ruskin University)

Squad: Anglia Ruskin Sirens

Course: Legal Practice Course

I set up the Sirens two years ago and have never looked back. Although i left our university last year to do a post grad course i have continued cheering for them and helping our ex-bulldog coach Tamsin whip them into shape. I love cheerleading and cant believe i lived for so long without it!. Im really proud to be able to represent the Sirens this year and am excited about working with everyone. This year will be my final year as a student and being a part of Bulldogs is without a doubt the best way to finish university cheerleading. I cant wait to start learning more advanced stunts and am really excited about cheering for the GB boys.'

Name: Terrance Shackleton (nickname: TEZ)

UNI: University of Plymouth, Biological Sciences

COURSE: BSc (HONS) Environmental Biology

YEAR OF STUDY: 3rd Year

I have only been doing cheerleading since i started at plymouth uni, but have found it an immensely challenging and physical sport that has kept me on my toes and helped me to meet many new fantastic freinds whilst helping me to build up my strength and endurance. Before cheerleading i have done many other sports, inc, football, swimming, horse riding, athletics and gymnastics. I like to have a laugh and am easy top get on with. I am pretty outgoing and am always ready to try new things. I love cheerleading now and am hoping to join a senior squad and carry on going to competitions and learning new stunts.
